My Experience

I can positively impact your corporate reputation.

I’m a seasoned communications leader who has worked at Kimberly-Clark, Clorox and Pinterest and top global agencies, Edelman and Burson-Marsteller (BCW). I have specialized expertise in Corporate Communications, Corporate Reputation, Social Impact Communications and Brand PR and Marketing Communications.

I’ve managed public companies through CEO transitions and led Financial/Reputation Comms. At Kimberly-Clark, I increased the company’s reputation score by 5% year-over-year (2023–2024) and outpaced industry peers through strategic narrative and storytelling. In Marketing Communications, I held a variety of leadership roles overseeing Integrated Marketing Communications PR and Digital Media  for leading brands such as Clorox, Burt's Bees, Brita and Pinterest.

In addition, I've created new corporate identities for The Clorox Company and Kimberly-Clark, including a new enterprise design system, reimagining corporate branding to align with strategic priorities. I created the content strategy for Clorox and Kimberly-Clark, including managing the corporate website and social media channels.

Finally, I’ve media trained several CEOs and C-suite members, with a focus on CMOs.

I’m ready to work for you.

About Me

I live in Oakland, California with my wife, two cats and a dog. In my spare time, I write a humor blog on Substack (https://davidkellis.substack.com/) about my amusing experiences in life. Finally, I am a barely serviceable acoustic guitar player.
